Cecil, often referred to as Officer Jones or “Jones”, has 40 years’ experience in law enforcement. Not too long after becoming an officer, Jones was certified by the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) as a Police K-9 handler and Trainer. Through this policing lens, Cecil has fulfilled nearly every role imaginable, further preparing him for the attention to detail needed to train and handle K-9’s. Jones began his career in law-enforcement on St. Thomas, in the Virgin Islands where he began working foot patrol, but was later promoted to the Police K-9 Unit. Having proven himself, and doing so thoroughly, Cecil earned both he and his K-9 an award for the “Top Dog” upon completion of training in his department. Aside from this, Jones was also frequently assigned to special detail units, working often in plain clothes federal agencies. 

After working in law enforcement in the U.S. Virgin Islands for several years, Jones moved to Austin, TX, and began his career working as an officer for Austin Community College. He honed his skills there for a short time before moving on to West Lake Hills PD and then Austin Independent School District, where he worked tirelessly as a school resource officer. 28 years ago, he signed on to work for Austin Police Department and has managed to make many lasting impressions and fill many leadership roles since that time. Cecil’s extensive background in K-9 handling coupled with law enforcement, make him an excellent source of knowledge and attentiveness toward completing any job he sets out to accomplish. The track record Jones has amassed further solidifies how commitment has always been the cornerstone of his moral compass. 

In essence, Cecil’s wealth of experience and Chris’ knowledge base from a securities perspective, as a result of their shared experience in the industry overall, further dictates the vast knowledge shared between Chris and Cecil Jones. This knowledge has allowed Gold Knights to shine as a rising industry leader, providing effective and efficient work processes that are designed to meet the needs of the Gold Knight client base. For Chris, just as the regulated private security industry protects people, property and premises, so is Gold Knight’s mission to protect the company’s, organizations and facilities they service, via in-depth explosive and firearm detection. 

Christopher Jones is the son of Cecil Jones. Most often referred to as Chris, he too has an extensive background in his field, where he has served as a licensed Level III Armed Security Guard for nearly 10 years. His experience includes Federal protection and high level security protection, including but not limited to the Internal Revenue Service and the Veterans Affairs Administration bldg. While Chris does not bring with him as many years of on the job experience as his father, he does bring a fresh and innovate approach to managing the day to day operations of the Gold Knights brand. Chris is also Level IV certified in Personal Protection, CPR & AED certified, and has a Level II non-commissioned UN Armed license.
